Meet The Team

JOHN KEITH, one of the UK’s most experienced football journalists and broadcasters, was associate producer of the acclaimed  Shankly: Nature’s Fire, which aired on BBC television in 2017 and in which he also appeared. He has also featured in the celebrated Sky TV series Reds in Europeand The Great Managers , contributed to a host of radio stations, both BBC and commercial, and spent 30 years  as Daily Expressstaff sportswriter.

He has written more than 30 books, including biographies of Dixie Dean, Ian Callaghan, Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly, and has scripted, produced and presented  many theatre shows including Kendall’s Kings, Bob Paisley : Reluctant Genius and The Kop’s Roman Carnival .

GILLIAN  BEATTIE has spent many years running businesses in the performing arts, started as a professional dancer which led to running an established dance and drama training Accademy Premier Studios. She was also a Director of Arts2U theatre company, responsible for productions and workshops. For more than a decade she has worked with John Keith as technical director on several football stage shows throughout the UK in which her work on audio and video input for the various productions has been highly commended. She was also director and co-producer of the acclaimed stage show The Dixie Dean Story which premiered in 2008 and has since played at various venues including London. 

MICHAEL WISHART  BSc (Hons) is a highly respected cameraman whose filming expertise has made him a valued contributor to BBC, ITV, Sky and many other outlets. 

From great action pictures in the heat of Premier League combat, Rugby League games or boxing matches to cool, studio shoots or breaking news interviews his extensive camera and photo-production skills deliver a highly polished product.

During his graduation module in Professional Broadcast Techniques at Salford University he was a top rank student with one of the highest grades and he was also awarded University of Liverpool certificates in Cinematography and A Film-Making Challenge. He has since built a reputation as one of the country’s most in-demand camera men, bringing him assignments from home and abroad on a wide variety of news, sport and entertainment stories and his talents flourish in the film documentary genre .
